Two Duplexes

Located on a 325 sq.yd. corner plot in South Delhi, this house replaces an older family home on the same plot. The clients were quite clear that they did not want to develop the property into apartments as prevalent in Delhi now but wanted to rebuild it as 2 spacious duplexes, one for the parents on the ground & 1st floors, the other for the son and his family on 2nd & 3rd floors. The basement was planned a a common entertainment, storage & home office space.

Skylit atria at two levels bring in light into the heart of each duplex amalgamating the two floors of each into single homes while extensive balconies, sunken courts and terrace gardens enable views of greenery to all spaces, a theme carried into even the bathrooms each of which features small plantation areas.
